YunG Chyld Cinematography are two brothers, Benj and Xander Raith, and a couple of their friends with a camera and lens. We shoot photos and make videos of our snowboarding and kiteboarding adventures to share with the world! The purpose of YunG Chyld Cinema is to capture the talents of friends and use them to make awesome videos with a fun vibe, cool visuals, music and environment.
We are based on Nantucket Island, MA and in the winter we live in Colorado.
I’m Xander Raith, 17 years old, born and raised on Nantucket Island 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to discover snowboarding at an early age and immediately became fully engulfed in the sport. Another sport I love is kiteboarding and Nantucket is the perfect place for it.
My family lives in Colorado each winter. I became accustomed to traveling at a young age and it’s shaped the way I choose to live my life. I’m devoted to snowboarding and kiteboarding and I love that I’ve been able to travel and be introduced to many new places with many adventures.
I’m Benj Raith, 15 years old, born and raised on Nantucket Island, MA. I am fortunate to live a diverse life because my family travels. I spend the winters in Colorado where I can express my favorite passion snowboarding, and the rest of the year on Nantucket doing my other passion, Kiteboarding.
The past few years I have fallen in love with photography and cinematography. One Christmas I was given a small camera, and my love for photography and cinematography began. I experimented with photography first and then video. I realized that through these mediums my imagination can become a reality through a lens and camera.
